Two different things get listed as colonial in this county. The first is genuine period work, the center chimney and center hall houses built in Walpole, Westmoreland, Keene and Jaffrey between the seventeen seventies and the eighteen thirties, many of them documented and some on the National Register. The second is Colonial Revival and later reproduction, built from the eighteen nineties onward and again heavily after nineteen eighty, with the symmetry and detail of the originals on a modern frame. CENTURY 21 Highview Realty can tell you which one a listing actually is.
